Zur Didaktik politikwissenschaftlicher Theorien der europäischen Integration
Ralph Rotte
Abstract
Since the 1950s, the study of European integration within the framework of political science
has led to a vast number of theoretical explanations and models of the integration process and
of the structures of the European Union. This paper tries to reduce the increasing complexity
of integration theories for students of EU politics by providing an introductory, brief
overview of core approaches in traditional “supranational“, intergovernmental (international
relations) and political systems perceptions of the EU.
